How To add commands to the Quick Access Toolbar:
1.Hit the drop-down arrow located to the right of Quick Access Toolbar.
2. Select the command from the menu.
3.The command will be added to the Quick Access Toolbar.

It is found at the top and to the left of the document.It makes it quite easy to adjust your document.It can be hidden if you want to give more screen space.

How To create a new blank document in Word 2016:
1.Select the File tab to enter Backstage view.
2.Select New then click on Blank document.

How To create a new document from a template in Word 2016:
A template is a predesigned document. You can use the model to make a new document quickly. To create a new document from a template do the following steps.
- Click the File tab to go to Backstage view, then click on New.
- Different templates will appear below the Blank document option. You can also use the search bar to find something more specific. In our example, we’ll search for an Education template.
3.When you find the template that you like. Select it
4.A preview of the template will appear. Click Create to use the selected template.
5.You will see a new document with your selected template.
How To open an existing document:
You will also have to open the document that you saved previously.For that :
1.Go to Backstage view then hit Open
2.Select This PC, then click Browse. Alternatively, you can choose OneDrive to open files stored on your OneDrive.
3.The Open dialog box will appear. Locate and select your document, then click Open.
4.When, you will click on Open.The selected document will show.
Sometimes you may need to work with documents that were created in earlier versions of Microsoft Word, such as Word 2010 or Word 2007. When you open these types of documents, they will appear in Compatibility Mode.
Compatibility Mode disables specific features, so you’ll only be able to access commands found in the program that was used to create the document. For example, if you open a document created in Word 2007 you can only use tabs and commands found in Word 2007.
In the image down, you can see how Compatibility Mode can affect which commands are available. Because the document on the left is in Compatibility Mode, it only shows controls that were available in Word 2007.
To convert a Word 2016 document:
If you, want to use all Word2016 feature.Your document can be converted to 2016 file format.
1.Click on the File to go to Backstage view.then find the Convert command and select it.
2.A dialog box will appear. Click OK to confirm the file upgrade.
