where is part 2 ? I could not find it
Hey @BTNHD Silly question could you let me what SQL DB you want to create?
Hey @BTNHD, why didn't you do the follow up to this one you mentioned doing to show how you can configure SQL with MDT? I need to be able to enter various customers names and keys and as I understand your explanation it may be possible with SQL and using one x86 image and one x64 image. Great vids by the way!
That video finally made my day. The database deployment didn't work. No other site wrote about updating the deployment share. You are the man! 🙂 Database deployment now runs smoothly.
Opps, I would like to throw out a challenge to you, MDT deployment without network share. For those of us who have big issues trying to network share.
It would be good for those who find a solution to post it for the rest of us, as for me I am still at square one. Looking at my firewall both sql entries are present, my system has admin rights, as for sql server ports open they appear active in the properties for each service.
PS love your videos, good to see someone helping other people out who need it.
Keep up the good work.
I AM HAVING A REAL ISSUE TRYING TO GET THE MDT PROTOCOLS INTO THE SQLSERVER
Hi,
I'm trying to use the SQL database but just as the MDT 2010 series I can't connect to the SQL server.
Is there a way I can share my VirtualBox Video Capture File so you can see what is going wrong?
Is there any way you can setup a machine with the information needed to image such as the applications, OS, Drivers, and Tasks stored locally on the hard drive? Trying to setup machines for once you turn it on, it will query the database and run the appropriate task and install certain applications based on the model all with the data stored locally on the drive so it will not have to pull the files from the deployment share.
I might have missed a step. The only SQL instance i have is "Protocols for ADK", where do i create the MDT instance?
Did you ever make that follow-up video on manipulating the rules, working with the database, etc.?
Great video! Looking forward to the other. I've always wondered what that SQL database integration was for.
