With the release of Android Pie comes a new way to move around your screens and access your apps on your Android phone.
Instead of using the physical navigation buttons found on most Android devices, you can swipe and tap your way around by using gestures. A virtual button takes you home. Swiping a certain way takes you to the app drawer or to the overview of all open apps. You can then open or remove any previous app. You can also tap certain buttons and turn your phone to activate certain features.
Android Pie is currently available only for Google’s own Pixel phones and the Essential Phone. Other Android phones are on the waiting list with some expected to get it later this year and others not until next year. But if you own a Pixel phone or Essential phone with the Android Pie upgrade, you can take these gestures for a spin right away.
