Do you own ebooks purchased through Amazon’s Kindle service or audiobooks from Audible? Either way, you can listen to them through your Amazon Echo.

Alexa can read aloud eligible Kindle ebooks using the same text-to-speech tricks she uses to read news, calendar appointments, and other items.

Amazon’s voice assistant can read for you books purchased from the Kindle store, those borrowed from the Kindle Lending Library or Kindle Unlimited, or books shared with you via the Kindle Family Library. And if you’re a subscriber or buyer of Audible books, Alexa can pipe those books through your Echo device.

When you’re listening to a book, you can control the reading, telling Alexa to pause, resume, go forward or back, or change the volume. Let’s check out how to listen to audiobooks through your Echo.
