Have you been to the Personalization setting screen and turned off every visual effect that you can...set everything either to the Window 10 screen or just plain grey. Background, lock screen, themes, colors, everything.

You can work around the admin permissions problem quickly enough. Place the .bat file somewhere on your system and then create a shortcut to it on your desktop. It looks like the main story + extras are around 8 hours, or 13 if you play it leisurely. Completionist is anywhere from 18-46 hours. Personally, I wouldn't get into multiplayer. It's probably worth $10.
