Hi, thanks for the Video . The Information are nice and to see that it is even working w/out AD . Quck Question , did you do some "strange" thinks to the DHCP Server to acknoledge that WDS Server , that is the Point where my Problems start ? I have a WDS 2012R2 ( with uefi support ) and the DHCP is a 2008R2 ( Option 66 and 67 are set ) , mybe you can push me in the right direction . My Workstation are in the same subnet as the Server . Thanks

I watched many times, now I'm working on that and I wanted to ask you if you know how can we create a pxe menu, I mean something like "Hi this is a …bla bla, chose the operating system you want" and the second question is how can we add another images or tools in that menu. Thanks again for this awesome tutorial

Hey Benito! I had a question about grabbing the DHCP. Why would it be that I am able to PXE boot at a max of about 3 endpoints at a time? Once that number has been reached and those systems are being deployed, any other systems that I try to boot after this, I get a PXE-E52 error and it says the no DHCP offers were received?

I have followed your videos about WDS and MDT2013. Got it all installed and set up. I am having an issue with PXE boot. Server gets an IP address, but no boot file selected. I added the LiteTouch boot images as well. I have attached the screenshot.

We're all on one subnet, and the dhcp and dns roles are on a different server from the WDS/MDT server.

DHCP Server Options I have set is: 60 PXE Client with value PXEClient and 66 Boot Server Host Name with value 192.168.1.10 which is the IP address of the WDS/MDT server.

I am testing using a virtual machine.

I want to deploy 4 different computer hardware types on my netword using MDT/WDS but I can not found any tutorial explaying how to create more than 1 tasks on MDT 2013.

My scenario are windows 7_64 client and Windows 8.1.
I am importing Windows7 client on MDT configuring Task Sequence, Unattended file, injecting drivers on specific folder and enabling if the folder is a hardware that I want to generate .wim file, etc..

First at all after importing the .wim file already created on WDS  from MDT d:deploymentshareboot, for exemple: Windows 7 client, ok ! Create the name to this as: WIndows 7_64.

But now, if I will go to MDT again and generate a new task sequence to explort a .wim file with Windows 8 and importing on WDS i will have to different installation types when I will boot from PXe: For example: WIndows 7 and other one: WIndows 8, oK?

When I choose the Windows 7 on Boot PXE menu, the process starts, I choose the share folder: \serverdeploymentshare$ (MDT share) and after complete the WDS installation process do you know what´s happend ? Windows 8 appears on my computer. This is occouring because the last OS version exported was Windows 8 and deployment share was updated with the deployment workbenth update that I made with Windows 8.

I saw that MDT has a folder named: Operating Systems and I thinked that, when I generate a new .wim file from MDT this foder was automatly updated because I can see 2 differents folders named: windows7_64 and Windows8.1.

I think that I am having a confusion to do the correct WDS/MDT deployment process on my network.
I thinked that WDS toke the Image imported to that sequence on menu and applyed but I am seeing that MDT share folder will deploy only the last image generated.

When I am wrong on these process? I tryied to deploy using WDS share folder: \serverreminst but it´s not working.
    Can you help me ?
Why don´t you create a tutorial explaying how to deploy 3 differente images: 2 different hardwares using Windows 7 and another one using windows 8.1: Generating on MDT to injecting drivers, packages, etc and importing and deploying on WDS!
I loved your videos ! Your explannation is very good !

    Help me !
    Tks a lot !

I have never installed wds but I decided to make my own portable imaging server that I could use anywhere anytime regardless of any AD neither on the server or external. There was one step left and that was the PXE-boot and the first hit I tested on google was yours and less than fifteen minutes (jumped a little in your video) later I have the PXE-boot upp and running exactly the way I wanted.

    Many thanks.
